TULSA
Local Author Will Wrap Up the Tulsa Tea Party Rally
February 26, 2009 Tulsa OK – Local Economist, Author and Minister, Jerry Robinson will be the final speaker at the “Tulsa Tea Party”. The Tea Party – a grass roots rally inspired by Rick Santelli’s rant on CNBC is organized locally by Jai Blevins. OK State Senator Randy Brogden and Sally Bell are also expected to speak.
The Tea Party Rally will be held on Friday February 27th, begining at 11 am at Vetern’s Park, 21st and Boulder in Tulsa. The Rally is organized to send a message to Washington DC that the people do not want big government and big spending – that “enough is enough”.
Jerry Robinson, as an economist and a Christian Thelogin, has a unique perspective on our country’s failing ecomony. He has written several books on the subject, the most recent is “Bankrupcy of Our Nation”. Jerry speaks at conventions and churchs accross the country and is scheduled for the Glen Beck program this spring.
Jerry will be bringing a realistic message of action and hope to the crowd. He will finish with prayer.
The following is from Andrew Griffin, of the Red Dirt Report
OKLAHOMA CITY
“…Oklahoma City protest organizer Alan Webb told Red Dirt Report that some local politicians had been slated to speak at Friday’s rally on the Capitol steps but that was scrapped so it wouldn’t look like politicians grandstanding. Rather, local conservative radio personalities like Mark Shannon and Ron Black have been invited to speak.
“‘We started so late for Oklahoma City for this rally,’ Webb said. ‘Our agenda is to show we are not supportive of this bailout bill and be supportive of other cities participating. We are going to be one of the smaller gatherings. We want to show our support.’
“Webb said the protest will begin around 11 a.m., just as other ‘tea party’ gatherings take place around the country.
“‘This won’t be a grandstanding event,’ Webb said. ‘The Tulsa event will be bigger. They have been planning a lot longer.’
“Webb said this should not be a political rally or an Obama bashing event. In fact, he has Obama supporters who plan to attend the rally.
“‘They are against Congress spending wastefully,’ Webb said.
“Organizers of the tea parties note that after several trillion dollars are poured down the hole of inefficient, bloated corporations, the people have had enough, much like CNBC’s Rick Santelli who triggered the call for change and spurred the Chicago Tea Party, which triggered the spread of “tea parties” across America…” (Get the full story on the Red Dirt Report>>)
"There's no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole government working for you."

After the Tulsa Tea Party, I submitted the petition to the Tulsa City Clerk. There were almost 7 pages of signatures. Almost 120 City of Tulsa registered voters said they want the Tulsa City Council to refuse the $945,000,000 pork.
The DEMOCRAT Mayor asked for pork, WITHOUT asking the REPUBLICAN City Council.
Copies will be on desks next week. Email your City Councilor and DEMAND you want the resolution to say NO to almost $1 billion pork. That’s just Tulsa’s share.
If you are a registered voter in the City of Tulsa or have a business address within Tulsa City limits, sign the petition here—–>>> http://www.petitiononline.com/nobama/petition.html
If you are not a registered voter in the City of Tulsa, whydon’tcha start a petition for your town? Edmond, Midwest City, Moore, Muskogee, Norman, Oklahoma City, Ponca City, Sand Springs, are Sapulpa are all asking for the pork.
Change starts at home. Imagine if every town in America said “NO, we don’t want pork!”
